Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and leading the sales team to successfully deliver annual sales and gross profit targets
- Develop and monitor accurate sales forecasts and budgets. This will include close interaction with production management and finance
- Interface and collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve alignment and support for sales initiatives and strategy
- Develop, implement and oversee annual sales plan to meet annual revenue targets
- Directly manage key customer accounts, international accounts and custom accounts
- Ensure timely and aggressive execution of prospecting, lead generation, customer information and research, customer satisfaction and procurement strategies
- Directs and supports customer meetings, product demonstrations trade show events, advertising and in-bound/out-bound marketing
- Provides input to engineering management for new product development
- Work closely with Production on scheduling, inventory assessment, and shipping in both the US and Canada
- Business Development
- Identify, analyze, and pursue new business opportunities, including market research, prospecting, and lead generation in sectors parallel to company’s existing sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry influencers to drive business growth and revenue.
- Prepare and present business case proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve business development annual targets.
- Travel as required to meet clients, attend industry events, and build networks.
Main Requirements:
- B.S. degree in engineering or equivalent
- 8+ years in related filed; 6+ years in business development; capital equipment, technical systems or equivalent
- Strong business development experience, ability to identify, develop and close new business opportunities. Demonstrated sales forecasting experience. Strong team building and development skills.
