Controls Software Designer – Omron – Rock Hill, SC

We are seeking experienced Controls Software Designers for a major custom automation program in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Candidates must have strong hands-on Omron PLC programming experience and be capable of working independently within the Omron controls environment.

Responsibilities include:

Develop PLC software for complex automated equipment

Program machine sequences and integrate automation devices

Work with servo and motion-control systems

Integrate robotics, vision systems and other automation equipment

Debug and test software during machine integration

Support equipment commissioning and customer-site installation

Required experience:

Hands-on Omron PLC programming

Ability to develop PLC programs and machine sequences independently

Industrial automation or machine controls experience

Highly desirable:

Sysmac Studio

Omron NJ/NX controllers

Omron servo and motion systems

FANUC robotics

Cognex or Keyence vision

Custom automation / machine-building experience

This is an on-site position in Rock Hill. Travel may be required during the commissioning phase.
